I’ve recently started coaching my daughter’s soccer team several mornings a week, then when I was approached about the position, I hesitated because I assumed that I’d be outside the whole time.
When I discovered that the team practiced inside though, I was glad! The people I was with and I live in the south where the Springtime weather is temperamental, then it can be pouring down rain 1 hour plus hot plus humid the next.
I know I sound high repair, but I didn’t want to be stuck coaching a girl’s soccer team in the rain, heat, or humidity, and practice being held inside with a temperature controlled environment sounded entirely beautiful. Two weeks into our season though, the Heating plus A/C plan broke at the indoor facility. I walked inside expecting to believe some relief from the hot sun, however was smacked with intense humidity plus what stinked prefer wet socks. The lady at the front desk told me that their Heating plus A/C plan was currently not working, however they had a local Heating plus A/C company coming to repair the unit that morning. The people I was with and I had a short practice that day plus I left thinking the Heating plus A/C plan would be running the following morning. When I arrived the next day though, the Heating plus A/C plan still wasn’t working. The lady at the front desk apologized plus said the Heating plus A/C company said it was a much bigger task than they were expecting. It was going to take the rest of the week to fix… Knowing this plus my hatred for temperamental temperatures, I cancelled soccer practice for the rest of the week.
