I guess I just like to learn the hard way for some things, because I remember a long time ago my mom was bragging about what a great deal she got with some random guy on the internet. Apparently there was some guy who was known for doing basic repairs for cheap prices, and my mom was drawn to him like a magnet. She had issues with the kitchen sink dripping continuously, and she was hoping this guy can patch it up really quickly. Well the guy came and was done in 10 minutes. Well, it turns out he didn’t fix it at all. He literally came into the house, stayed in our kitchen for 5 minutes and then left. My mom did further research into him, and apparently it was known that he was constantly scamming people out of their money for a long time. If my mom went with a trusted company or did her research ahead of time, this would have been avoided. I guess I am like my mother because, instead of doing the proper research into a well reviewed HVAC business, I decided to go cheap and try to get a guy online to install my HVAC unit. Well even as the guy was installing my air conditioning system, I noticed he acted like he didn’t know what he was doing. After he was supposedly done installing my cooling system he left in a hurry. I was a little suspicious, so I tried my A/C, and it didn’t work. I researched further into this guy, and reached the same conclusion my mom had reached all of those years ago, he was a scammer. Now I need to hire a HVAC professional who can do the job right.
