Getting more from our label printing

The label production market had been once only the domain of big printing

The traditional dynamics governing the printing business have shifted dramatically. And had we not made some changes to go with that shift, I’m not sure that our printing service would be able to compete. It used to be all about local contacts with businesses to keep revenue flowing. Our printing service attempted to lock up all the neighboring businesses and be their go to printing service. That paradigm has changed with the advent of so many large regional and even national printing options. Customers can just go online to find a cheaper printing service. This evolution was something that we could not avoid. Instead, we decided to get in the game. The printing technology has advanced so rapidly. We decided to leverage this technology advancement in order to go after different printing markets. It was sort of a “if you can’t beat them, join them” kind of philosophy. While scary, it was totally necessary if we really wanted to keep our printing service. We used our good reputation to further branch out and capture a wider market. Immediately, it was clear that label making would be a very lucrative sector for our printing service to go after. The label production market had been once only the domain of big printing. With new technology, we were able to use our more nimble position in order to compete with big printing. Now, we are taking care of our local market while taking a piece of the regional and even national printing and label production market.
