It is a terrible cycle and both of us can only split it by turning off the Heating and A/C plan entirely.
All of the locales both of us have rented in the past had central heating and air controlled by a control unit. This locale is no different. The only thing that is unusual in this apartment is the way that the control machine works. In past apartments you had to manually change the control machine from heating to cooling, or vice versa. So the furnace would never turn on if the cooling system was on and the cooling system would never turn on if the furnace was on. In the apartment both of us live in now you have to set the control machine for the heating setting plus the air conditioner setting. The furnace or the cooling system could kick on at any time. It just depends on what temperature the new home reaches. So if it’s too freezing then the furnace will kick on. If it is too sizzling then the cooling system will kick on. This is great…in theory. However, in practice both of us keep running into complications. Every one of us followed wonderful control machine practices and set the heating and cooling un-even temperatures multiple degrees different. And yet, our furnace and cooling system are typically competing. The furnace turns on and then the furnace runs on. Then the cooling system turns on again. It is a terrible cycle and both of us can only split it by turning off the Heating and A/C plan entirely. I hope that an Heating and A/C supplier might be able to help us make this stop. They are coming out on Sunday. I suppose the issue could be fixed if both of us got a new control machine that only worked as air conditioner or heating at a single time; Not air conditioner and heating.
