I’m terrified of the thought of carbon monoxide poisoning in my sleep

I consistently make sure that I have laboring smoke detectors wherever I live, even if I’m staying with a friend or relative. I had 1 terrifying experience when I was a child where I woke up to see 1 of my living room walls engulfed in sparks. We all got out of the lake house safely, however the experience left an impression on me. Never again would I put myself in a position where I could burn to death in my sleep. It might seem like overkill to most, however I have smoke detectors in every room of my house. I even had them hardwired to the home’s electrical grid so I never have to replace a dying battery again. I assume with confidence that they’re consistently laboring when I need them the most. But I realized recently that I had made a large omission when I put so much energy & thought into having a network of smoke detectors all throughout the house. We use gas appliances & I stupidly never bought carbon monoxide detectors. In worst case scenarios, leaking gas appliances can occasionally put toxic carbon monoxide fumes into your indoor air. It’s self-explanatory enough to install carbon monoxide alarms, however I somehow overlooked this essential safeguard. I have ordered numerous carbon monoxide alarms off the internet so I never have to worry that my central gas furnace is poisoning myself and others in my sleep. People have died from gas leaks with gas powered gas furnaces when they malfunction, & I have no interest in becoming another statistic. I will put 1 in every room of the lake house so I can make sure I never missed a potential gas leak in the near or distant future.
