A career where I could set the tone and trajectory was a very early and real ambition for me.
But, it was a dream that had to go through some stages. It’s just a fact that to be your own boss, you may have to pay some dues for awhile working for others. That’s how it was for me. When I finally felt that I had enough experience, I went out on my own. But, I started small by beginning the business in my own home. I did this for nearly 2 years before I had enough clients and revenue to rent office space. However, that office space did not include any sort of office cleaning service. That meant that when I closed the doors at night, I was the one that had to be the cleaning lady. The business grew and being the maid service after I closed up shop just got to be far too much to handle. I just didn’t have time to go out shopping for cleaning products and then come back to be cleaning lady. So, I reached out a nd found a commercial cleaning service that would meet our needs and our budget. They took care of janitorial services like carpet cleaning and floor maintenance along with routine trash and dusting duties. This was like a lifeline for me. I knew I was pushed and had no time to get it all done. But, I had no idea how much personal time I was given back once I contracted the commercial cleaning company.
