However, we also have a storefront where we meet with perspective clients and do our customer service.
This is a family business that was passed down to me. My wife and I run it with a small staff of people. But, we all have also operated as our own maid service. The janitorial services like dusting, trash removal and carpet cleaning is done inhouse. The small staff also help play the part of an inhouse maid service. We have it down to where it takes less than an hour to clean up after the day’s business. But the floor maintenance is an entirely different thing completely. There is a lot of floor space in the warehouses that have to be kept in good order. That is a lot of floor stripping and waxing for our small group. To save money once, I tried to rent the floor stripping and waxing equipment and do it on my own. This was dumb and a complete waste of my time and efforts. It was more than evident that we would need a commercial floor cleaning service to do this sort of work. I called around but mostly I got the janitorial people who did not focus on floor maintenance. It took some time before I could find a commercial floor cleaning service that only did floor maintenance at a reasonable rate. But, they have done a great job with the floor stripping and waxing. The warehouses look really top notch.
