We have been doing some remodeling work in our house and now we are almost to the fun part where we get to choose new paint, carpet, and air registers.
I have been waiting and waiting for this part because the whole rest of the project has been super boring, in my opinion. We have had to meet with our builder and with the HVAC contractor so many times and I think those sorts of meetings are just so dull. The HVAC contractor ended up calling us for three different meetings because there were issues with tying in our old HVAC system to our new one in the newer sections of the house. I understand that we have to make decisions about those sorts of things when it comes to the heating and cooling system, but I think that the HVAC contractor should just be able to talk to my husband about it. I don’t understand why he always wants for both of us to be at every single meeting. Anyway, finally all of that boring stuff is over. The new high efficiency heating and cooling system is installed and we also have a new smart thermostat unit. Now, the fun part is finally here. I’m ready to go choose paint colors, carpet colors, and air vent covers. I think I’m going to get some of those fancy air vent covers with all of the swirls and curlicues made into them. It’s exciting to see it all come together at last and I’m excited to start using our smart thermostat system, too.
