Do you think it is ridiculous that women all over America are being forced to purchase small portable heaters to put under their desks in their offices? The office workers are setting the thermostats so low that the women who are in the office are suffering with too much a/c. This is bad for the environment as well as bad for the morale of people. The a/c and the portable heaters of the country are engaged in hand-to-hand combat in offices all over the land. My entire working life this has been true, and in truth, I have always been annoyed at the other women because I was never cold. I always enjoyed the air conditioning that they considered excessive. Now, though, I work with a maniac who thinks the whole office should be 69 degrees, and his a/c in his office never reaches the preferred thermostat setting, so he turns down the thermostat settings on the other thermostats in hopes that his office will reach the desired 69 degrees. Well, I am sick of it. I think it is ridiculous that I have to buy a portable heater just to be able to keep feeling in feet and hands, but I have gone ahead and ordered the heater. Monday, I am going to go into the office and plug it in. I am joining those annoying women and not caring one bit about the well-being of the planet. I don’t care if the a/c and the heater are in direct competition with each other or not. I am sick of the darn a/c and I am fighting back with a $29.99 portable heater hiding by my feet.
