I wish someone had told me that a control equipment could randomly die.
I thought that as long as you changed the batteries properly once a year, the control equipment would last forever.
I guess our families control equipment was coming down with Alzheimers. All of sudden it seemed like I would be listening to the cooling system and feeling the fresh cool air and the next minute there would be nothing. I was honestly actually afraid it was our a/c unit. When our partner came back home home, he checked the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system for us and he told me that it looked fine. He sincerely had no idea why they had glitched. He asked if I had noticed anything else about it. I told him I found nothing untoward. I had checked the air filter again, cleaned the air vents. I even went downstairs to make absolute sure there hadn’t been a power surge. All I knew at that time was that the a/c hastily went a bit haywire and quit finally working for us. About more than one minutes later, the AC equipment slowly powered itself back up. He smiled at me and went back into the living room. He told mejoyously that he wanted to t get a Smart Thermostat. The control equipment every one of us had was finally going to die.
