I try really hard to maintain relationships with my family even though they don’t seem to feel the same way.

They rarely ever try to send me a message on the internet or call me on the phone. As you can imagine, it gets rather exhausting trying to keep up with an entire extended family. Sometimes my family members fall by the wayside and it takes me a few months to get in touch. This is what happened recently with my old Uncle Jerry. I hadn’t heard from him in at least 6 months so I decided to stop by his house. When I got there, it was rather shocking. Apparently my Uncle Jerry has not been doing a good job cleaning his house or maintaining his indoor air quality control equipment. The moment that I stopped inside his front door it smells like a dank and moldy pool house. It was like he had never heard of indoor air temperature control, air conditioning units, or dehumidifiers before. The air was so thick with airborne contaminants that I struggled to breathe for the entire trip. I even saw a mold and mildew growing out of his air vents that were attached to the central heating and cooling system. By the time that I left my Uncle Jerry’s house I was absolutely sick. My respiratory tract revolted against his terrible indoor air quality. I wound up with a nasty sinus infection for the next 2 weeks thanks to his dirty, humid indoor air.
