I absolutely remember back in middle school when I was in woodshop, as I ended up making a honestly nice end table, but it wasn’t simple. The hardest aspect was not absolutely doing the task but rather putting the end table together, it was the lack of cool a/c in the woodshop area. There was a classroom attached to the woodshop space with a bunch of computers, however also the classroom had pretty great a/c, so it was somewhat comfortable. In the woodshop space though, the a/c seemed to be non-existent. It was honestly boiling and also uncomfortable. I don’t assume why it was as bad as that, but it honestly was a problem. But so I would try our best when measuring the wood pieces and chopping them to size, but I would consistently have to get back out to the a/c for a break. A lot of other students didn’t want to be in the woodshop space at all because of the lack of cool a/c. I cared about our project though and I said I would complete it even if I had to roast to death in there. It took a lot of work, but I was able to complete it and I got a honestly great grade on our project. A lot of the others didn’t even finish their projects, and that was a shame for them. I guess if they were smarter about the heating and A/C set up, it wouldn’t have been an issue. That was a long time ago though, and I’m sure they honestly fixed the a/c in that location. I still have our end table to this afternoon, and it’s a beautiful piece of craftsmanship in our home; people ask about it all the time, and I tell them I made it way back in middle school.
