I can’t believe that it’s been almost 2 months since I quit my job and set out on my own. I decided that I had enough of their constant harassment and it was better to be financially unstable than mentally unstable. I couldn’t continue to live in that uncomfortable environment. Since I’ve quit, I haven’t been very concerned with checking in on the current work situation at my old job, although I am a bit curious. That’s why, I let my ex co-worker tell me about the changes that they’ve been making when I saw her last week. She began by saying that they took my advice and arranged a professional HVAC appointment after I had left. It was as much of a disaster as always. And then she told me that they actually had upgraded the heating and cooling equipment in the office in the last few days. I was blown away. I had always wanted to be a heating and cooling system to be repaired or replaced while I was working there. It was clear that the office had a terrible indoor air quality control management system. You noticed it as soon as you walked into the office, because the air was stagnant, humid, and smelly. It never felt like the air conditioning system worked 100% or the heating system was able to keep up with the demand. There were hot and cold patches throughout the office everywhere you went, every day. Still, my bosses were never very worried about the indoor air quality when I worked there. Wouldn’t it figure, they finally took my advice and arranged the professional HVAC appointment after I had left.
