My son came home from work the other day and he wanted to know why the house was so warm.
He said he couldn’t feel any AC coming from the air vents.
I had no idea why there wasn’t any cool air coming from the air vents. I told him to check it out since I also just arrived home. He looked at the air vent and then he checked the thermostat. He tried to adjust the thermostat, but nothing happened. I heard him mutter, ‘Oh, Man!”, and he came in search of me again. He told me that there was either something wrong with the air conditioner or the thermostat. Since we had a Smart Thermostat, neither of us knew anything about how to check it. We had to call the HVAC company. When we finally got someone on the phone, he told them our AC dilemma. They said it sounded like the thermostat. My son already knew it was probably the thermostat and he once again told her that it was a Smart Thermostat and we didn’t know how to test it. I don’t know what she asked, but he said he wasn’t sure why the air wasn’t cool. That was the reason he called the HVAC company. I heard him tell her he would call back when there was someone competent in the office, and he hung up. An hour later, he called the HvAC company again. He got the same woman on the phone and he hoped she was listening. Finally the woman apologized but she told him he was calling the wrong number. We had two of the numbers to the HVAC company, transposed in his telephone.
