If you were to ask me, there aren’t things that are too much worse than family reunions.
I’m sure that there are many families out there that have fantastic experiences with those kinds of things.
For me personally they are totally the worst. For instance, last year when my sister was chosen to host the family reunion it ended up going south from the very beginning. It was a truly overheated summertime, and the seasoned and run down residence that we had rented out for the weekend wasn’t up to the challenge of keeping us cool at all! Maybe it wasn’t the residence per se, it was actually due to the tiny window mounted air conditioner machine in the residence. This seasoned thing looked to be built in the 90’s, and considering the weak cool air flow coming from it that is a fairly generous guess. From the moment that my sister had been chosen to host I had informed her that we were going to need a much larger venue that was more reliable. Thanks to my sister’s cheap mindset she didn’t even bother to listen to me. It didn’t take especially long for the window mounted air conditioner machine to easily break down from being pushed to its limit. This led to a good amount of fighting within the family. Eventually after another hour or so the reunion was respectfully cancelled earlier than I expected. I can’t say that I am mad that I was able to get out of this reunion much sooner than I thought, however it truly was annoying leading up to this particular point.
