As I figured, he doesn’t seem to care that I don’t care about his heating and AC stuff, and he continues to tell me about it anyway
My brother is a big know it all, although in a good way. He was always reading and learning something new. Then once he learns some new facts, he then proceeds to rattle them off to me and our family. He doesn’t only memorize facts though, he will pinpoint a subject of interest and then learn everything he can about it so he gives us it’s an entire history in a documentary-like voice. It can be kind of interesting and fun to learn, but at the same time it can get really old really fast. Regardless of whether it annoyed us or not, he would continue on. His past subjects of interest were cars, candles, calligraphy, telescopes and metal. Now he seems to have focused his interest on HVAC related stuff. He starts off by telling me small little facts, like what the a/c filter does, or what the cooling refrigerant is meant for, but I know it won’t take long before he starts diving deep into its history, and then like a parrot, repeating all that he’s learned. I’m glad he’s taken an interest in multiple things, but I have no interest in heating and cooling stuff. As I figured, he doesn’t seem to care that I don’t care about his heating and AC stuff, and he continues to tell me about it anyway. Just yesterday, I saw him with his arms full of HVAC books, all with different stuff on furnaces, air conditioning, a/c ducts and more. I just silently shook my head, and knew that later I was going to be getting an earful of HVAC knowledge.
