Our apartment is an older home & it was built fairly big.
However, the home is divided into a lot of smaller rooms.
Many of the room are not used at all by any of us. When both of us first got into this house, both of us had 1 central temperature control that tried to control the temperature of the entire house. This caused the most outrageous utility bills. There region both of us are in is a area of the country where the climate can be severe & be sort of all over the site. It isn’t uncommon for a genuinely hot & humid day to be followed with a precipitous plunge in temperature a few days later. We are forced to be the Heating & Air Conditioning furnace or a/c from 1 day to the next while in the shoulder seasons. Various rooms in our apartment lend themselves to heat up due to the immense windows that gobble up direct sunlight. To cool these areas of the home, the central Heating & Air Conditioning setting was far too low. And, the Heating & Air Conditioning would just run & run in an effort to keep up with a area of the home that wasn’t used all that much. The Wintertide was the opposite & the furnace just had too much home to heat. That’s why I now have zone control Heating & Air Conditioning. The Heating & Air Conditioning crew augmented our existing heating & cooling device so there are now 6 independent Heating & Air Conditioning zones in the house. Now, I am saving a ton of cash because I can heat & cool selective parts of our home. I am so thankful to have finally found a solution to this lavish problem.
