I couldn’t stand being in the geology classroom

Back when I was still in university, the group of us had all kinds of troubles with the heating plus cooling equipment in the building.

The university that I went to was a truly outdated building, and as a matter of fact, it was the same university that my grandparents went to when they were a lot younger.

There had not been much updating done in the building over the decades, plus the HVAC equipment absolutely left a good amount to be desired. I remember that our Geology classroom was easily one of the hottest locales in the whole university. I had the exhausting luck to be seated at a table by the windows where the sunlight would come flowing in, heating up the room even more. The university had A/C equipment in some of the classrooms, but not in that particular one! Worse yet, I would have class in there straight after lunch when I was already feeling very sleepy. Our teacher would get so frustrated with the students who fell asleep that he would drop a pile of books on the floor with a sizable bang just to terrify everyone awake again. I remember thinking that out of all the classrooms in the university, this was the one that truly needed A/C equipment the most! I often consider those days plus how we would go from working A/C to no working A/C. It was a terrible time to be in a university building, because occasionally you were feeling nippy plus wishing for an overcoat. Other times you were covered in sweat plus falling asleep regularly. The teacher in Geology absolutely should have thought about getting a window A/C in his classroom.
