I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go to my 10 year high school reunion, but I did end up going.
When I got there, I couldn’t believe all the people I ran into who I used to know.
There was this one guy in particular who I used to be pretty good friends with. We got to talking and hung out a little bit. He was telling me that he was an HVAC technician, and he had a pretty good thing going for him. He actually seemed to have pride in his work, and I was interested in hearing some of his stories when it came to taking care of different HVAC repairs. I didn’t really have any good stories as I just worked for a bank for all this time, and I felt like I wasn’t really getting anywhere. There was nothing going on in my life that was all that exciting. But I did want to talk to him about possibly upgrading my HVAC system. I had been thinking about getting radiant heated floors. He was telling me that he had a lot of experience with installing that type of heating system, and they were top notch. He said the energy savings alone made that type of heating system investment worth it. He said if I didn’t really like my job, I should think about getting into the HVAC industry. I wasn’t so sure about that, because I have never been very good at working on machines. He said if I was ever interested or needed help with my future HVAC installation, to give him a call.
