During the global pandemic and enforced quarantine, I feel like humans are going to create some really beautiful endeavors.
The enforced isolation and boredom is certainly going to lead to an explosion of creativity and innovation after this all settles down.
I’m honestly excited to see what mankind creates and how the world learns to value alone time. Personally, I can’t say that I am a master artist or an inventive genius. But there is one thing that I know how to do well, and I’m working on it profusely during this time. I am a certified heating, cooling, and ventilation specialist with over 20 years in the HVAC industry. Currently, I can’t leave the house to assist other people with their HVAC equipment, so I have been doing my best to help people from inside of my home. For the past four weeks I’ve been creating YouTube videos demonstrating the easiest DIY methods for simple HVAC repairs and routine maintenance jobs. During this time, nobody can get the professional services that they need without breaking the social isolation orders, so many homeowners are being forced to learn some handyman skills. At the same time, I’d like to work on my movie production and editing abilities. This seems like a win-win. I will happily show you how to change an air filter, clean an air conditioning system, or diagnose a loud furnace with my spare time. People seem to be really responsive to my HVAC YouTube channel, and they even utilize the comments to directly ask me questions. I wish that I could be a bigger help during this trying time, but I’m glad that I can provide some HVAC knowledge and production value from home.
