Before you know it, you can get the moisture levels to go up by considerable amounts.
There are a handful of absolutes that I can count on dealing with every frosty season. No matter what, I can expect up to a foot of snow on the ground from the beginning of the season until the end. The people I was with and I also tend to get uneven temperatures well below zero degrees many days throughout frosty season, often for months or more or at a time. That basically means I have to always wear sufficiently hot clothing, which includes a thick frosty season coat plus heavy duty snow boots. One of the other environmental absolutes that coincides with this style of weather is the severe dryness. As the temperature falls, so do the humidity levels. It’s not exactly unheard of to get moisture levels well below 10%. When moisture levels can be far above 75% during the warmer times of the year, the excessive frosty season dryness can be tremendously uncomfortable. You start to get cracks in the skin on your hands plus in your lips. I suffered for many years before someone told me about using a humidifier. All it does is take a small tank of purified water plus releases the water into the air as vapor. Before you know it, you can get the moisture levels to go up by considerable amounts. I don’t know I would get by during the frosty season without having a humidifier always working in my dwelling. My husband feels basically the same as I do, we both dislike having lips so chapped that nothing short of prescription chapstick will help them. Best of all, humidifiers are fairly inexpensive plus use little electricity while they run regularly. They’re a must have for me during our intense frosty seasons.
