In our downtown office space, the heating & cooling costs are included in the weekly rent.
This is absolutely wonderful for us, because let me tell you, the office Heating & A/C is terrible! I simply cannot figure it out! No matter what I set the control unit on, it never is comfortable in our office. I am either covered in sweat because the gas furnace is blowing, or I am frigid because the cooling system is blowing, even when I have the control unit set to “plan off,” there is still some kind of air regularly blowing out of the air vents. Every one of us got a young current intern in the office, & I have told him that if he can figure out the heating & cooling so that our office will be comfortable, he gets a bonus. I am not sure he believed me when I told him that, but I was totally serious. I don’t think if the control unit is set to some unusual settings or what, but I am sleepy of going from boiling to chilly all morning long. I am hoping that when summer time gets here, the outside temperature will not fluctuate so much, & then perhaps the Heating & A/C will not be so confused about whether it should be turning on the gas furnace or the cooling system. What I absolutely wish, though, is that our intern would figure it out for me, and supposedly, he is a whiz at all things technological, so it would be good if he could put all that so-called expertise to work for our comfort.
