I literally cannot believe how much I owe the HVAC company right now.
As it is, paying an HVAC technician to come to fix your furnace is expensive.
I am an old lady, and I am on a fixed income right now. I can barely afford to pay an HVAC technician during the normal hours, and it isn’t my fault that my furnace wasn’t working when I went to bed. I usually have an HVAC technician inspect my furnace right before winter, and this HVAC technician told me that I should have no problems with my furnace this year. I like to keep my thermostat set at 75 degrees, but when I went to bed, I noticed that it was chillier than usual. I checked the thermostat, and I realized that the furnace wasn’t on. It was later in the evening, but it can be dangerous for an older lady like me to not have a furnace in the middle of the night. I called an HVAC technician that I usually work with, and he told me that he would call the owner of the HVAC company to see what they could do. When the HVAC technician called me back, he told me that the owner told him that he could fix the furnace, but it would be for the emergency price. The HVAC technician came and fixed my furnace, and I knew that the part that he needed would be expensive. However, the HVAC company charges triple the price during the night time. My HVAC bill is $1500, and I have no idea how I am going to pay for that! I am a poor, old lady!
