Talk about a good fortune for me.
My partner is the yin to my yang and vice versa. He is also maybe the coldest natured man I have ever met. For someone who has the warmest heart of anyone I have ever met, he gets particularly chilly a lot. The thermostat in his body is far different from any heating and cooling thermostat that I have ever experienced. In fact, there isn’t a HVAC setting that has ever quite satisfied my partner when it comes to the chilly winter. There is something that happens as soon as the chilly starts that shifts him into a crazy man looking for a place to stay warm. He is kind of on the skinny side but, I don’t believe that there are enough layers to keep his particularly cozy warm. This year, I decided to see what I could do to facilitate at least a little more heating comfort for him. I normally have my heating and cooling machines worked on once the first chill of late fall happens anyway. I asked the Heating and Air Conditioning tech what I could do to help my partner out. He gave myself and others some suggestions. First, I went around the entire exterior of our house and began sealing every gap or crack I could find. I even went up on the roof and resealed around the chimney. Next, I threw down some additional insulation and sealed off the attic. All the weather stripping around the doors were detached and updated. I even had a up-to-date storm door put on. However, the best option was done by the Heating and Air Conditioning company. They were able to come out and customize our existing HVAC plan to supply zone control throughout the house. Hopefully he will feel better after this.
