The two of us met each other on the first morning of work for both of us.
- It was one of those HR orientation things in a conference room that was cold due to way too much Heating, Ventilation plus A/C cooling.
As soon as I saw her, I was intrigued. The more I got to think her the more intrigued I became. The two of us worked in separate departments in the hotel. However, it seemed one or the other of us would make sure to find a reason to be together for a few hours each morning. Finally, all of us took the chance and never looked back. Now, all of us are expecting our first child. There was a great deal of planning that went into our decision to start trying for a child. However, all of us thought that due to years worth of birth control, it would take some time to get pregnant. And, all of us counted on that when all of us were thinking about the time line of the pregnancy. Nature had peculiar plans. My wife was pregnant within 2 weeks of going off birth control. Our timeline now had the baby coming at the end of summer. Not the best time of year to be pregnant in this neck of the woods. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C cooling is on full blast all Summer just to manage the heat. So now, our wife is giant, uncomfortable pregnant in the heat. I had a smart temperature control installed so she could remotely adjust the setting. Being pregnant during this type of Summer deserves whatever it takes to maintain any sense of comfort. The last 7 weeks will be bed rest for our wife. I simply dislike that for her but, I am certainly thankful that she is able to adjust the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C from the bed at least.
