Automation system is user-friendly

I resisted smart appliances for as long as possible.

I have enough trouble operating my smartphone.

Just managing to make phone calls, text, check the weather and take a photograph often frustrate me. I worried that if I upgraded to a smart thermostat, smart lights, smart washer and dryer and smart door locks, I wouldn’t have any control over anything. However, as I’ve purchased new appliances, it’s been impossible to avoid modern technology. My new refrigerator has a touchscreen on the front and offers opportunities to make a grocery list and show real-time video of the backyard. The oven can be programmed to turn on at a certain time, bake at a specific temperature and keep food warm for as long as necessary. Everything from my microwave to my water heater include smart features. When I initially tried to take advantage of them, I became overwhelmed by the many apps. I did some research and learned about home automation systems. While this technology was once reserved for commercial operations, more and more homeowners are implementing automation systems. The cost is reasonable and the benefits often recover the investment. WIth a home automation system, I’m able to easily manage the adjustment of the thermostat, determine water heater temperature, program individual lights and handle all of my appliances through a single app. The home automation system has encouraged me to add a smart air purifier, smart carbon monoxide detectors, automated door locks and exterior surveillance cameras. My home is more energy efficient, comfortable and secure. I am really amazed by how easy everything is to operate.
