Have you ever tried to be someone you absolutely know that you are not? I have done this and it is not worth it. No one should have to pretend to be someone they’re not. My friend doesn’t speak to me as often. I always have to reach out to here now. She never calls me and we do not hang out. I lost a really good friend because of this. I pretended to know a lot about HVAC systems. She was having some problems when I was over there the last time. I told her I used to want to be an HVAC technician and then I decided I didn’t want to be. I told her I was very knowledgeable and could look at the system. I assured her I could fix her system and I would do it for free. She would only need to pay for the part that needed to be replaced. I went on to fix her HVAC system. It worked for a little while. My friend called me the next day and said it was not working again. I panicked. I did not want her to find out that I was lying to her. She had called an HVAC professional. The professional said that you should never let inexperienced people tend to the HVAC unit. She had told him that she hadn’t but it turned out she really had. I had to be honest with her and tell her I knew nothing about HVAC systems. I just wanted to help and be good friends. Now I do not have her as a friend.
