Upon graduating from university, I accepted my dream task within a giant city.
I was so gleeful about my current job, but I was a little stressed out about the living arrangements.
The dealer was giving me one month to find an apartment, which I thought would be plenty of time. However, after spending two weeks touring a bunch of unusual apartments, I realized that it was going to be a lot more competitive than I was expecting. I had a long list of requirements for my current site, but nothing within my budget had everything. I had to sacrifice quite a few things such as laundry plus AC. The building provided heat, but there was no AC. I didn’t think the lack of AC would bother me too much, but it entirely proved to be a big issue. The small house was claustrophobic plus the tiny window didn’t supply enough airflow to cool down the space naturally. During the Summer months, I found myself waking up in the middle of the night dripping with sweat. I considered getting a portable fan, but there wasn’t enough floor space for it. Instead, I bought a window AC unit to fit in the tiny window. It was noisy plus big, but it cooled my small house with ease. I could overlook the noise as long as it wasn’t taking up fancy real estate or costing me a fortune to run.The window AC unit was the best way to cool my town house efficiently.
