I am one lady who wants to make every dollar count.
I write down budgets plus review my finances sometimes to avoid getting stuck with emergencies I cannot handle.
When I have to go over budget with any expenditure, then I have to forgo some pre-planned expenses in the budget. My Dad calls me stingy because, at times, I do not even spend on myself, yet she asks me for me sometimes. I like shopping cheap, even second-hand if possible. Sometimes I get the wrong thing or something that fails way faster than expected. And that is how I ended up paying for an air filter more than once because I kept going for something that affected the indoor air quality in my house. When I finally realized that it’s part of an air conditioner that needs proper care plus replacement when performing heating, ventilation, plus A/C service, I imagined I could get it cheaply. Whenever I have a busy A/c service coming up, I ensure I am around plus undoubtedly buy needed heating, ventilation, plus A/C parts on my own. My previous cooling serviceman warned me about buying used parts before because they kept failing faster, but I didn’t listen. Instead, I stay busy online learning about cooling technology plus trying to identify bargain purchases from any cooling supplier offloading old or detrimental parts. In fact, I used to buy relatively up-to-date temperature control parts plus take them to a cooling expert for assessment. If I find them usable, I stock them plus hand them to my cooling specialist when they come for service. But now I can no longer do that with the HVAC filters. Otherwise, no one will service my unit because of the health hazards of using counterfeit parts. Luckily I do not need an A/c setup anytime soon either.
