It’s crazy but I love living close to my dad.
This sounds so odd to say, but I am being honest.
A few years ago, my dad patched things up and we are closer than ever. I wasn’t the easiest kid to raise, and my dad and mom tried their best. However, I always got into trouble, and things got worse when I turned 18. Dad didn’t know what to do anymore, so he cut me off. This broke my mom’s heart, but she also knew it was the best thing to do. I struggled to get my life in order, but I did. Mom is no longer with us, but I am happy to have my dad in my life again. I own and run a small successful business, and last year I bought a house. Dad knew I was searching for a place, and he had a friend selling one in his area. Dad suggested living close to him, and I jumped at the chance to spend even more time together. So far, I’ve added a deck to the house, and had a new HVAC system installed. I told dad I wanted to replace the aging heating and AC system when I finalized the purchase. Dad told me to make sure I hire a legit heating and AC company for the job. That way, I’d get the right HVAC system and not a fake system without a warranty. Dad has been a homeowner for many years, so I knew his advice was sound. I had him recommend the heating and AC business he hires to do installations, repair and maintenance in his home.
