It is the 4th of June and I am just starting to work on promoting my band for the summer season in town.
We will do three gigs a week and make $300 each per gig, which will pretty much pay for all of my bills for the month. Then, I can ease off on the other jobs I do to focus solely on music. I still need to work on my drumming skills some more because it’s entirely hard for me to drum and sing at the same time, but I am working on it. My mini split AC is keeping me nice and cool in this room as I do my work, making me grateful for even having some weather conditions control in my home. There was a time not long ago when the whole summer I’d be dripping with sweat and uncomfortable and hoping for the cooler weather to come and save me. I pay a few hundred more a month now for my Heating and Air Conditioning system and new home. It is also four years later and a lot of the prices have gone up quite a bit. I can still live here cheaply compared to the US and will ride out the rest of my life here if all goes as planned. I am working for the cooling and heating corporation in my neighborhood and will keep working for them for several more years till I finally throw in the towel and retire altogether. I will always be blissful when I know back about my toiling work though.
