For years I have struggled with my weight.
I am overweight to the point where I have severe joint pain.
My knees, hips and back constantly give me struggles. All the diet plans in the world never helped me much. I hate counting my points and going to meetings. I felt really awkward and embarrassed doing them too. Going to the gym was even worse too. I did not know how to operate the machines or what to do once I was at the gym. Typically I would buy a gym membership, go maybe two times and then give up. I finally found the gym that is right for me though, core progression. A core progression is technically a personal training gym. A person is not left alone to wander around from machine to machine. The personal trainer either works one on one with me, or in a group fitness class. I go to my core progression gym four days a week now. I do two days of private personal training and two days of a group fitness classes. I love working with other people. There is no shame or counting up points. We don’t share goal weights or talk about how much we lost. Everything fitness wise is very personal and only handled by our specific trainer. I do also have a health plan that is handled through nutritional counseling. It is almost like going to the doctor. The girl and I just talk the two of us with no interruptions. I like this so much better.
