It’s a heat pump from this point on

I’ve been hoping for this kind of winter for over a decade.

Finally, I was back in my hometown, where there was no snow, ice, or brutally cold and hot temperatures.

This winter, I no longer required a gas boiler to heat my home. In fact, the heat pump was activated four times this winter to provide heating. I kept track just to see how much heating my colleague and I would actually require. Next year, I’ll just use the space heating system instead of the heat pump, unless there’s a freak frigid front or something. Changing from the gas boiler to the heat pump felt like coming up for air after being submerged for too long. I’m a southern boy, and I don’t like winter weather that packs a punch like it does up north. And I was up in the north. But what was I going to do about it? I moved north because the task stated that I had to transport north. However, I had never intended to spend so much time up north. So when the bosses gave me the option of coming home to the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation, & A/C of our southern offices, I jumped at it; if I’m lucky, my next promotion will take me to corporate’s commercial Heating, Ventilation, & A/C. Fortunately, that is still in the south, and I will never have to deal with a gas boiler again. I understand that the Summer heat and humidity can be oppressive here. But I also know that the heat pump is the right tool for the job and that it provides excellent air conditioning all summer.
