Tim will get his work done in an hour and then he is going to play with the cats for a bit before he hits the road for a bike ride to his friend’s campervan.
She is staying in the neighborhood and Tim wants to meet with her to have a chat.
She told him she is pregnant but that the father is drinking way too much and she may end up leaving him. She said he gets drunk after an hour of heavy drinking and then the rest of the night he can’t have a conversation with her anymore. The gas fireplace is going to be their therapy session spot tonight as they both try to stay warm with their temperature control system while seeing the fire and talk about life. Tim knows that isn’t a fun place to be in where she is now, so hopefully their talk can put her at ease a bit more. His mom was working at the local HVAC business while having two small kids at home when she was still a teenager. Tim’s mom worked as an Heating, Ventilation and A/C worker in the afternoons and was a waitress at night, while they grew up with babysitters. Some of their baby sitters were not the best people, one of them would wear her clothes when she was out working and she also stole cash from Tim and his mom. He would turn on the radiant floors to stay warm in that dwelling as they had no furnace to keep them comfortable at the time.
