While looking online for an HVAC technician, I came across numerous ads for air duct cleaning. Additionally, some offers were as low as $89 if the dryer vents were also cleaned. I’ve never cleaned my HVAC air ducts because my previous HVAC technician John never suggested it. I’m looking for a replacement for John, who retired last year. He had owned his own HVAC company for more than 25 years, so I felt comfortable entrusting him with my equipment. And while he was servicing my unit, I hardly ever experienced any issues. Actually, the device only ever had one issue, a capacitor failure a few Summers ago. I was incredibly grateful when John was able to fix the unit the very next day because it was a scorching Summer. Now that John is leaving, I need to find a new HVAC technician who is just as experienced. It will take some time to find the perfect match, but I would rather take my time than pick the first reputable HVAC company in town. There may be significant delays during the busier season because these providers occasionally serve thousands of customers. I believe that smaller HVAC companies tend to react more quickly because they serve fewer clients. Among all the ads for air duct cleaning, I did find a few HVAC firms that I will be contacting to see if they are what I am looking for.
