Completing my HVAC checklist

It’s pretty easy really.

The fact that I’ve resisted prepping our home for winter is more about our laziness than anything else.

But things have changed a bit over the last couple of years. These days, I’m not spending so much time inside the central air conditioning of our living room watching TV. When I genuinely guess about it, I’m sort of stunned by the hours and hours I wasted just flipping channels. But thanks to getting stuck working from home in our own air conditioning during the pandemic, I made some lifestyle variations. And I’m fairly amazed by the fact that variations in diet and exercise have spilled over to the rest of our life. The fact that we are warm, cozy and saving money on heating costs this winter is a direct result of decreasing our lifestyle; Since I wasn’t just resting inside watching TV this fall, it seemed perfectly sufficient to go to the cooling company website for winter prep. The cooling professionals genuinely made it easy with a checklist for sealing up the house nice and tight. All it took was a few hours over a couple of weekends to complete the heating and cooling checklist. And we are easily better off for it. Additionally, I’m going to keep this tight seal on our house to bring down the air conditioning costs this summer as well. I’m already thinking ahead as I’ve called to schedule the air conditioning tune up for mid April. I know I’ll be home because it will be college basketball time. I’ve changed my habits but I’ll still be enjoying seeing springtime hoops while the heating and cooling specialist does his thing with the heat pump.
