There are actually times where I tend to overthink a situation or a challenge! And that’s because it’s sort of the default way my brain works.
While devising solutions to the zone controlled HVAC of the office, I need to leave it there! That’s actually the case as we approach springtime.
In most of the country, it’s way too early to be talking about springtime. But around here, springtime is right around the corner. By Valentine’s Day, I’ll be seeing buds on the trees and then within weeks, or at most a month, there will be cooling system demand, and right now, we are easing toward the end of December and the heat pump is pretty much silent. If you have to deal with a brutally hot, humid summer, at least it’s good to have such perfect weather during the winter. It’s so mild here that the heat pump barely runs at all as there is genuinely little demand for heating. In fact, there are times it’s just easier to crank the little space furnace for an hour in the morning on freezing afternoons. And I use the word freezing quite lightly. This year, when it comes to cooling systems, I’m not over thinking it when it comes to savings, and nope, we’re going to take a usual sense approach to saving money on all the cooling we need. This springtime, we’re going to leave the cooling system off until it’s consistently in the nineties. We’ll be able to acclimate to the heat which will then lower the demand for cooling once the serious heat gets here in June.
