There was no way I could stick around while the HVAC technician was working on the air conditioning unit and getting it ready for summer. I had the doors locked, and I asked if he would put the bill in between the screen door and the kitchen door? He said that would be fine, and he went to work on the air conditioning unit. I apologized, but there was no way I couldn’t go to work. There was an emergency I had to deal with at the office. When I got home that afternoon, I looked inside the screen door for the bill, but I saw nothing. I looked inside the screen door to the main door of the house, but there wasn’t an HVAC bill there either. I finally put my purse and coat on the sofa and picked up my phone. I called the HVAC company and told them about the HVAC technician and where he was to put the bill, but I found nothing. She told me she would contact the HVAC technician and ask him where he had put the bill, but he wasn’t yet at the office. Half an hour later, the secretary at the HVAC company called and said she had gotten in contact with the HVAC technician. He had forgotten to put the receipt for the work inside the door. Since there was N/C because of my maintenance plan, he didn’t feel the need to rush back and leave the bill in the door. I thanked her and asked her to place the receipt in the mail so I had it to file away.
