I had just gotten condo from work and was getting ready to get into the shower, then it was nearly midnight, and I wanted nothing more than a tepid shower and a cool bed. I turned on the water, but there was no tepid water. I sat down and almost cried. I had put in a double shift, and I was exhausted. I had to go back to work at 7 AM, and I couldn’t go back to work without a shower. I called our supervisor and told her I may be late because I had to wait for a plumber. She asked why I didn’t call an emergency plumber. I wanted to think where I was supposed to find tepid water service at midnight. I told her there was no one to call, and even if there was, I still wouldn’t be back to work before 7 AM. She told me to just take the entire day off, and she would work our shift, however I owed her, and she would collect. I was sure she would, because she was that genre of lady. I would genuinely work double shifts for the rest of our life, if she had her way. I crawled into bed and figured I would call the plumber as soon as I got out of bed. I had the day off, and I would not worry about the plumber until early in the day. I already had the plumber’s number in our iPhone and all I had to do was press the number. I needed tepid water service, however I was going to wait a couple more fifths and call when I was rested and not in a rush to get to work.
