I hired a lawyer for my startup company

During the pandemic, many people lost their jobs and were left wondering what to do for income.

Some people ended up switching careers, others decided to go back to school to gain more knowledge, and many decided to start businesses of their own.

Personally, I lost my job during the early part of the pandemic, and I too was concerned about my next career move. I thought about becoming a real estate agent, a travel agent, and I even considered becoming a teacher. After careful consideration, I decided to start a temporary staffing business instead. I briefly worked for a staffing company a few years ago, so I had some experience with this business model. Though I had some experience, it was no easy feat to get this business up and running. And because of the nature of the business, I decided to seek legal help right away. I needed advice on the best way to staff the company, so prior to creating the entity, I consulted a lawyer. Though I didn’t need help with any of the preliminary paperwork, the lawyer was kind enough to provide me with additional counsel on the easiest way to get the business set up. But most importantly, the lawyer provided legal advice on how to best staff the company. A staffing company is a complicated business model, so it’s best to hire a lawyer to provide the best guidance when it comes to employees and the laws. Aside from hiring a lawyer for initial counsel, it made sense to keep that lawyer on retainer because chances are, I would need counsel for other employee matters.
