Not that long ago, my family and I had a small family gathering.
It was nothing special, just catching up on the latest events in my family’s lives.
I found out my cousin is expecting her first child, my brother adopted a new puppy, and my dad got a promotion at his job. I excitedly told them about my wonderful news of opening my very own art business with my husband! There were a lot of congratulations and happy vibes going around. Then my aunt entered the room, and everyone quieted. Although my aunt was well respected, she had a bit of a pessimistic attitude and we all knew she would have something to complain about. Sure enough, she started complaining that her A/C device has not been working right for the past couple of weeks. The air conditioning machine has apparently been failing to cool my aunt’s home properly. Although the HVAC device was still turning on, cooling air was not coming out of the vents. Although I knew very little when it comes to HVAC equipment and HVAC technology, that sounded like a refrigerant issue to me. My aunt was already threatening to have the entire A/C machine removed and replaced with a new HVAC installation. I told my aunt my idea, and she told me that it better work or the cooling device was going to be history. A few days later, she called me and thanked me for resolving the issue. I was right, and it was a simple refrigerant issue. My aunt would have wasted so much money if she bought a brand new air conditioning component.
