I lost my heat due to a power failure

We decided to split the cost of a suite at the local hotel.

I work outside all day long and all I look forward to, is coming home and taking a hot bath. I then sit in front of the air vents and allow the heat to lull me into a deep slumber. It wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t work plowing snow and doing the sidewalks in the city. From the time the snowstorm shows up on the weather map, until everything is cleaned up, I am outside. So when I finally get to go home, I look forward to having a furnace that is running and heat coming out of my air vents. I got home the other night and I knew right away that I wasn’t going to have any heat. The power had apparently gone off because there weren’t any streetlights. I called the power company to get an update on the power outage but they were giving me a time frame of twelve to forty-eight hours. I knew I wouldn’t be able to hole up in this house without any heating. I called a friend of mine, but he didn’t have any power either. We decided to split the cost of a suite at the local hotel. Before we were settled in, we made sure there was heating. We also ended up with two other friends sharing the cost of the suite. With three bedrooms and a couch that pulled out, and a good heating swe were set for however long it took to get the power back on. For the first two nights, we just wanted a comfortable, warm bed and heating.
