As soon as I was laid off while I was in the pandemic, our parents provided myself and others the guest room in their new site.
It was smaller than the family condo however man, was it ever nice.
They had everything from a pool to a condo gym in that site. A far cry from the giant condo on the hill where they raised 6 kids. I was the last one. The new venue has the latest in residential HVAC and all the HVAC technology that goes with that. It’s so impressive the HVAC system they have in this site. There is a smart control component which is sort of the hub of the HVAC wheel I guess. But there are also 5 other independent control units as well. The folks even finished making for zone controlled HVAC. Of course, I loved the offer and I would end up taking them up on it eventually. But initially, I was sure that I could hang on and I’d be called back once this virus petered out in the summer. Then, I’d be right back inside that zone controlled HVAC of our office. But of course, that’s not how it went. I never heard back from where I worked. It was our first real job right out of university. Finally, I was not able to find enough online gigs to keep paying the bills and had to let our apartment go. But in doing so, I went from old, unreliable HVAC device to the best quality heating and air one could imagine. Not too awful of a trade really.
