It seems like summer has really flown by this year and I really don’t want to send my kids back to school yet.
We haven’t been able to do half of the things that we wanted to do this summer yet and now it’s almost time to go back to school.
The temperature here is still really hot, and I know for a fact that they do not have good air conditioning in the school that my kids will be going to. You would think that the school system would make it a point to have better indoor air quality inside of their buildings, but it just seems like it is never really high up on their list of priorities. I guess different people have different ideas about what is really important when you are in school. However, I know for a fact that my kids are not going to be able to pay very much attention if the temperature in the school building is as hot as it was a couple of months ago whenever they first got out of school. I wish that school started later on in the year whenever the temperature starts cooling off. Back when I was a kid, we started much later in the fall. I don’t know why they are going to be starting back so early this year, but I don’t like it. I am tempted just to homeschool my kids this year so that I can be in control of the time that they spend at school and so that I can be in charge of the indoor air quality in the building that they are going to be spending time in. Maybe it would actually be worth it.
