The two of us didn’t have air conditioner in the buildings back when I was in high college years ago.
I guess putting air conditioner in public college buildings is a newer sort of thing.
I guess I can understand that, since air conditioner wasn’t absolutely all that widespread until about 25 or 30 years ago; Not almost everyone has consistently had air conditioner in their homes and businesses, and a lot of people seem to forget that occasionally. Air conditioning has also become much less fancy to install than it was years ago. I guess that’s because there have been a lot of improvements in the heating and cooling industry over the years; Heating, Ventilation and A/C technology has absolutely increased and gotten better and now all the people genuinely have access to air conditioner. I guess that our public education plan is finally catching up to that fact. I remember back when I was in high college how tepid it would get inside the buildings on afternoons when the two of us first went back to college at the end of the summer. It was pure misery to sit there in class without air conditioner back then. I’m sure it’s entirely the same way now in classrooms that do not have cooling systems. Hopefully over the next 25 or 30 years, that will be changed and the indoor air quality in all of our college buildings will be up to speed the way that it should be. I guess that it is much easier to spend our money attention and to learn when you are sitting in a cool classroom than when you are dozing off and falling asleep in a warm 1!
