My boss did not think that my bestie and I broke up.
He sent myself and others to the hotel to fix the kitchen AC.
My bestie is the manager of the hotel and both of us have been servicing the AC and the hotel account for the past 6 weeks. I started seeing my bestie a long time before both of us picked up the account, so it was never a conflict of interest. It was because of my bestie that both of us ended up picking up the commercial AC service account. When my boss provided myself and others the schedule for the afternoon, I saw the kitchen AC troubles listed for the hotel. I undoubtedly did not want to drag my boss into my personal life, although I went into the office and I asked him if there was anyone else that could service the AC. He left and he wanted to think why I did not want to go. I told the guy that I broke up with the manager and he said that he knew that was going to happen. I truthfully thought that was a undoubtedly jerk thing to say. If he had been a guy on the street I would have punched him in the face. My boss wouldn’t change my schedule so I had to go to the hotel. My bestie was laboring up front when I walked through the door. She left the front desk so both of us did not have to see each other. She sent someone else to talk to myself and others about the repair and I never ran into his at all while I was there.
