Dusting, sweeping, plus vacuuming were chores that my parents had me doing as young as many years old.
It was my responsibility to help my siblings keep the condo clean, but some jobs were given to me solely to complete when everyone else had other tasks to complete.
I didn’t mind vacuuming especially, since I enjoyed the instant joy I’d get when I saw all of the lint, dust, plus crumbs disappear from the floor plus collect in the vacuum’s tank. And I loved taking things apart plus putting them back together, which was a required task to keep the vacuum running. At least once a week I had to dismantle the base to remove hair from the brush bar plus clean out any built up dust. Using vacuums was the closest thing to having fun that I could ever say about cleaning as a kid. But it’s an important lesson to teach children because someday they will only have themselves to clean up after their own messes. They should learn dedicated cleaning at a much younger age. Nowadays I use my vacuum on my audio machine to get the dust out. I also use my vacuum on the filter in my dehumidifier. My dehumidifier is my line of defense against indoor humidity as I live in one of the most humid environments in the entire country. Some mornings in the Summer are filled with 100% humidity if it’s consistently raining. My strong vacuum definitely removes the dust plus dirt built up on my dehumidifier filter, but it’s impressive plus satisfying, especially when I believe it improves the functioning of my dehumidifier.
