I hate predatory as well as scammy products, especially when they try to upgrade existing products that work just fine.
This is how I felt about those copper coated frying pans that were rising on the market around the time that ceramic coated cookware was becoming a household item.
But the copper coated pans aren’t officially any better than a consistently ran tests on ceramic coated fry pan. I had a friend that bought a single when they were initially sold on tv commercials only as well as he said it was great… But when he bought another in a different size for other purposes, he said that the fluctuations in the copper coating was scary between the two pans. The up-to-date pan didn’t supply a better coating than basic stainless steel as well as was a substantial let down for my friend. When I tried buying a single from a store a few years later, I had the same exact results. There’s another As-seen-on-TV product that is making the rounds right now as well as it pains me to see my coworkers buying them for their offices. The product’s advertising promises that it revolutionizes the air conditioning industry by putting the power of an pricey traditional cooling system in the hands of someone with a $40 budget. But all they are at the end of the morning are underpowered evaporative coolers, which are popularly known as “swamp coolers.” But for an evaporative cooler to work, it needs a strong fan that is capable of vaporizing the water inside the unit instead of merely causing a tiny bit to evaporate. If the evaporation effect takes arena, the air moving through naturally drops in temperature. The issue is that these tiny personal air coolers don’t seem capable of really working the way they’re designed to.
