Finally we will remodel

Last summer season, our partner plus I finally tackled the remodeling of the upstairs bathroom.

Our family bathroom had not been changed since we moved into the home over numerous years before. The two of us are convinced that the plumbing plus fixtures were installed before we were even born. The sink, toilet plus tub were all a bright orange plus especially tiny. The walls were tiled in bright pink. The bathroom was not only horribly ugly however not overly functional. My partner is a larger, taller man and felt cramped in the tiny tub. The shower head was actually installed for a much shorter person. The two of us had troubles with water pressure as well. Hoping to keep costs at a minimum, we decided to handle the task ourselves. The tear out part of the process was a great deal of task plus a disaster. The walls plus ceiling of the bathroom was constructed of plaster plus lathe. The two of us discovered that the tub was incredibly dense plus needed to be cut into pieces to be unattached. Once we got down to the bare studs, I learned that the plumbing pipes were galvanized steel, corroded plus blocked with water deposits. The two of us found that the electrical wires were not up to code, plus there was no insulation in the walls. The two of us needed to upgrade everything from window plus light fixtures to the floor tiles. The project took more time, was more effort plus cost a fantastic deal more money than expected. At one point, we needed to hire a plumber to help with redesigning the layout plus relocating the toilet. Now that our bathroom remodel is finished, we are super excited with the results.
