Both of us had a close call at beach house last week, and it’s a great reminder that I shouldn’t be messing around with certain things, but ever since I got laid off I have been doing more chores around the house.
I handle the laundry and the dishes, the shopping, plus all the yard work and handyman type jobs. I enjoy to recognize I am more handy than I entirely am, and this can get me into trouble… Case in point, Last month when I messed around with the electrical plan and caused an issue with the Heating & A/C system. I break a wire, which fell against the side of some air duct, and that in turn shorted out the entire plan in dramatic fashion. I myself had been touching area of the air duct, which was made of metal, and got a nasty jolt. I might have been electrocuted if the grid hadn’t fried and shut down all the power, but replacing the circuits and fuzes was self-explanatory, but after the power was restored every one of us found that the Heating & A/C plan was dead. That power surge through the air duct had gotten into the main components of the Heating & A/C plan and fried them, only these were fuses I could not substitute myself! After getting badly shocked I realized I was in over our head and contacted a local Heating & A/C corporation to come inspect our system. The results were ugly, and extravagant, however I have no choice other than trusting the Heating & A/C corporation and letting him do his work. Both of us all see what happened when I tried to handle it myself!
